Hey all! i thought i would write on this little blog because it seems noone has in a little while.
Well, just FYI, it is freezing in minnesota right now- it was -2 for a high today i think! Tonight ryan and i and other people played broomball outside for a while. It is sooo fun! i actually am on two different club teams for bethel, so thats what my Mon-Thurs nights have been consisting of during J-term so far. I am taking Creativity in the Fine Arts (a required class) from 1-3:45 every day, with class events in the night time. We have to go to different theater, art and music events through out the class. So we saw the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Peer Gynt at the Guthrie Theater and we visited the Minneapolis Institute of Art. All 3 were very interesting!
Second semester starts Feb 4, so then starts the tougher classes (organic chemistry and biology classes...). I like being busy, so that will be fun! I also nanny for a family up here on tuesdays. It always is fun to see them!
Its so nice to hear from you all- from different parts of the US! way to go, uncle tom, for setting this up! Keep in touch! and stay warm and cozy where ever you are!
Love, Caitlin
ps... people should write more often, i love hearing from you and im sure everyone else does too!

Thank you so much for posting, Caitlin!!! That motivates me to write. That sounds like a fun class. When you choose a college in a large city, the whole city turns into the campus. You are able to enlarge your world beyond the confines of the campus.
Two years ago when I was readying my parents' house for sale, I found a stuffed manila envelope with ticket stubs that I kept from my years in a Chicago suburb. It was really fun to remember back. You should journal & paste them into a scrapbook. I think your generation is better at that than I was.
I am typing on my lap, without a mouse and it is slow. We are in Santa Fe, NM, and it is almost as cold as where you are. I went to the dollar store and bought a few men's scarves. Tom and Andy are grateful, Pat has an inside liner to his jacket that zips to his bottom lip, so he was prepared already.
Someone will write later with some impressions of our time, and we do have one group photo so far. Seeing your picture in Chicago reminds me we need to take another group photo.
We are headed to church this morning, then I think we will come back to this rented house and put some kind of pizza in the oven. Alan and Wendy Aman are coming to have lunch with us this afternoon. Then we are undecided whether to see the Flamenco dancers at 4:00 in the Jewish temple, or to come back here to watch the Packers. . . . .
We may part ways for that time.
So, greetings to you from freeeezing NM!
Love, AK & UT
